No joke, we have a new family of yucatan woodpeckers living in the palm trees and there are more than one! This family had their babies last year and they have grown to love the palm trees at Casa de las Olas. We in turn love to watch them, their habits, thier rituals and their daily activities.
Watch this video really closely. They are in there flying and pecking around. Each woodpecker has a red crown, a bit of yellow and they are super busy during the day.
